The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is undertaking its sixth annual survey of the state of the fundraising profession. The 2006 State of Fundraising Canada survey looks at how much organizations raised in 2006 and how that compares to the previous year.
The purposes of the survey are to ascertain how organizations performed in their fundraising efforts, what techniques were most successful, what new trends are on the rise and how fundraisers are responding to societal, financial and demographic changes. This information will be useful not only to the profession and AFP members, but also to the government, the media and the general public.
There are 43 questions (although participants may not have to complete all of the questions), along with four demographic queries, and the survey should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. It will help to have your organization's fundraising data over the past two years ready as you begin the survey.
Personal and organizational information will be kept confidential and not distributed in any way. The results of the survey will only reveal aggregate data by all respondents, by subsector (education, health, etc.) or by type of fundraising (direct mail, major gifts, etc.).
To thank you for participating in the study, we will send you a complimentary copy of the survey results and enter your name into a drawing. Five lucky winners will receive a $100 American Express gift certificate as a thank-you for completing the survey.
If you have any questions, please contact the Public Affairs Department at paffairs@afpnet.org. Thank you for your participation in AFP and completing our 2006 State of Fundraising Canada Survey!
